Last updated: 19 March 2026

1. Introduction

Leadvr ("we", "us", or "our") is a UK-based SaaS platform that helps businesses discover and enrich company data sourced from Companies House and other publicly available registers. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights regarding that data. By using Leadvr you agree to the practices described below.

2. Data Controller

Leadvr is the data controller for the personal data processed through this service. If you have questions about how your data is handled, contact us at privacy@leadvr.com.

3. Data We Collect

3.1 Account Information

When you register for an account we collect your name, email address, company name, and password (stored in hashed form). If you subscribe to a paid plan we also collect billing details processed securely through our payment provider.

3.2 Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, searches performed, credits consumed, exports generated, and timestamps of activity. This helps us improve the service and provide support.

3.3 Companies House & Public Data

Leadvr processes publicly available company information from Companies House and other open registers. This includes company names, registration numbers, registered addresses, officer names, SIC codes, filing histories, and financial data. This information is already in the public domain and is not treated as personal data of our users; however, where officer data constitutes personal data, we process it under the legitimate interest lawful basis (see Section 4).

3.4 Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the platform is used. See Section 7 for full details.

4. Lawful Basis for Processing

  • Contract: Processing your account and usage data is necessary to provide the service you have signed up for.
  • Legitimate Interest: We process publicly available company and officer data to deliver our core lead-generation service. We have conducted a legitimate interest assessment and concluded that this processing does not override the rights of data subjects, given the data is already public.
  • Consent: Where we use non-essential cookies or send marketing communications, we rely on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • Legal Obligation: We may process data where required to comply with UK law (e.g. tax, fraud prevention).

5. How We Use Your Data

  • To create and manage your account
  • To process searches, enrichments, and data exports
  • To manage your credit balance and subscription
  • To send transactional emails (e.g. password resets, export confirmations)
  • To improve and optimise the platform
  • To detect and prevent fraud or misuse
  • To comply with legal obligations

6. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • Payment processors (e.g. Stripe) to handle billing securely.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers that store data on our behalf under strict data-processing agreements.
  • Analytics services to understand platform usage (anonymised where possible).
  • Law enforcement or regulators where we are legally required to do so.

7. Cookies

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication, security, and basic platform functionality. These cannot be disabled.
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use the platform. These are only set with your consent.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via the cookie banner or your browser settings.

8. Data Retention

  • Account data: Retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.
  • Usage and activity logs: Retained for up to 12 months for analytics and support purposes, then anonymised or deleted.
  • Exported data: Exports are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after 90 days.
  • Billing records: Retained for 7 years to comply with UK tax regulations.

9. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — Request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restriction — Ask us to limit how we process your data.
  • Portability — Receive your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — Object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent — Where processing is based on consent, withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@leadvr.com. We will respond within 30 days.

10. International Data Transfers

We primarily store data within the UK and European Economic Area. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or adequacy decisions recognised by the UK Government.

11. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), encrypted storage for sensitive data, role-based access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take all reasonable steps to protect your data.
